Up for sale is a Takamura VG-10 Migaki 210mm Gyuto (Japanese Chef's Knife). Gyuto are general purpose kitchen knives like their Western counterparts, upon which their origins are based. This is a great size for home or professional use.
Takamura is known for producing beautifully made knives, using some of the most advanced steels available on the market. Their fit and finish is amongst the best I have personally seen on Japanese knives, at any price. This 210mm Takamura VG10 Migaki Gyuto is laser thin, perfectly balanced, and razor sharp right out of the box.  The VG10 Migaki line from Takamura is just about identical in finish, dimensions, and most other aspects to their more famous R2 Migaki line.  The main visual difference between them is the black laminate handle of the VG10, as opposed to the red sported by the R2.
VG10 is one of the original Japanese "super steels" that has been around for a while, and proven itself well.  This steel is fairly easy to sharpen to a wicked edge, has great edge retention, and is also very stain resistant.  The cutting core of the Takamura 210mm VG10 Migaki Gyuto is wrapped in a softer stainless steel cladding for toughness. These knives just fly through foods with no effort!

Please do not put these knifes in a dishwasher and do not cut frozen foods, bone, or other hard material.
Most Japanese hand finished knives may have some minor scratches, dings, or imperfection on the blade or handle. This is normal and not out of the ordinary.
Pictures are of the exact model of knife, but not the individual knife for sale. There will be slight variation in handle color/pattern. It is no longer practical for me to list every knife in my inventory individually, but if requested, I'll try to send more specific pictures.
I will package the knife to the best of my abilities, and ship them out within 1-2 days after payment is received.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with inquiries!
