Exhaust Pipe Silencer Nice OEM 1977 1978 or 1979 ?? YZ125

Here we have a nice used OEM Yamaha silencer for the 1979 YZ125. Has two shallow dents pointed out in the pictures. Someone had welded on a stupidly long stinger on the outlet. I cut it off & cleaned up the weld slop at the outlet. This part came as is from a cycle shop that closed up back in the mid 1990s. Been sitting in a warehouse the past 35 or so years. No parts number tag left with it. I am nearly certain of the fitment listed above. I believe the 1977 1978 YZ125 silencer has the mounting bracket clocked at a slightly different angle. This inlet style was only used on the 100s & 125s from 1976 thru 1979. The 125s have a very short inlet before leading into the body of the silencer like this one does. The YZ100s inlet pipes to the body were longer. Measures 13 1/4 inches for total length & 9 1/2 inches for just the larger main body. Inlet diameter is 1 inch. Check out my other listings.
