This 1959 Fiat 600 Sliding Roof Coupe is a beautifully restored imported microcar that is surprisingly roomy. Initially, Fiat was looking to build an economy Coupe to compete with Volkswagen's Beetle and Citroen's 4CV. Fiat's goal was to develop an automobile that was easy to produce and could transport a family of 4 comfortably. After Fiat debuted its 600 Coupe in 1955 at the Geneva Auto Show, the microcar soon became a top seller for Fiat. The rear mounted 633 CC Inline 4 Cylinder Engine with Single 4 Barrel Carburetor put out 30 Horsepower which was an upgrade from previous years while maintaining its famous fuel economy. The floor-mounted 4 Speed Manual Transmission makes this Fiat a sporty little car to drive. The exterior chrome and brightwork are exquisite on this Fiat 600 and give the car a nice European look. This rear wheel drive beauty sits on 4 like-new Radial Tires on Steel Wheels with Fiat hubcaps. This Fiat 600 is equipped with hydraulic drum brakes on all 4 corners. The exterior has been carefully refinished in a beautiful Cream which makes for a stunning exterior look. This particular Fiat 600 Coupe is extra special because it features the desirable Sunroof option with a Black Vinyl Sliding Cover. Opening the Suicide Doors reveals stunning Tan Carpeting and a beautiful Butternut and Cream Vinyl Interior that look to be brand new. Front Bucket Seats and Rear Bench Seats make for comfortable seating for 4. The dash, door panels, and steering wheel all appear to be correct and are all in fantastic condition. The instrument cluster is a bit spartan with several indicator lights and a Fuel Gauge and a 70 MPH Speedometer. If you're looking for a cool little import to zip around town, this 1959 Fiat 600 Sliding Roof Coupe is the car for you. Give us a call today!
